Cell signalling: Signal Transduction pathways and their impacts on cellular processes and diseases.
Abstract
These advancements have illuminated the underlying molecular mechanisms of receptor activation, protein phosphorylation, and crosstalk between pathways. Furthermore, the roles of non-coding RNAs and kinases in these pathways have expanded our understanding of cellular communication. Research on signal transduction pathways has unveiled their pivotal role in regulating cellular processes and their impact on various diseases. These pathways govern cell proliferation, differentiation, survival, and stress responses. Dysregulation of signal transduction pathways has been implicated in cancer, neurological disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and metabolic disorders. The growing understanding of these pathways offers great promise for the development of targeted therapies to combat a wide array of diseases.
